Balsamic spinach pasta

This pasta dish is something we have frequently and there are a few reasons for that. For starters, this is my wife’s favorite pasta dish. I think she would have it every week if she could. Secondly, it’s a real light weight dish that nobody should feel guilty about eating. The list of diet friendly ingredients include whole wheat pasta, spinach, fresh tomatoes and lots of garlic. Finally, we just like it because it tastes great. This balsamic pasta dish brings a balanced flavors to the table in every bite, from the savory flavors of roasted garlic to the sweetness of roasted tomatoes and balsamic vinegar, you won’t find any jealous taste buds here.

Five Minute Limeade

Limeade is a great summer time drink. As much as I like the flavor of lemons, limes really are my favorite. Fresh limes are packed with flavor, so much in fact you can make quite a lot of limeade with just a few limes.

The instructions in this recipe show how to make limeade in just five minutes, however it’s important to note that the ingredients will yield great limeade no matter the method used.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

If your in a hurry and want limeade in just five minutes you’ll need a blender. With a blender you’ll be able to save time and effort because there will be no squeezing necessary.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 limes, and zest from one lime
  • 4 1/2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup sugar

To scale the recipe follow this ratio; for every one lime add 1 1/2 cups of water and 2 table spoons of sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut peel away from limes, removing as much white pith as possible
  2. Cut limes in half
  3. Combine limes, water and sugar in a blender
  4. Blend until limes disappear
  5. Serve over ice

Remember the recipe can be used even if you don’t feel like being lazy and using a blender. The blender method works well when you’re in a hurry and want a pitcher of limeade with out all the squeezing.
